The RCTA has gone from strength to strength with 56.7 percent of traders now members which means an increase of 25 percent of membership. New relationships have been developed with CRT business and boating managers and successful terms for traders negotiated for winter moorings and 48hr visitor moorings.
The RCTA is a non-profit organisation which is organised and run by canal traders for canal traders: The modern day equivalent of the old working boats, bringing a colour and vibrancy to the canals and attracting many people to the canals who may not otherwise have had any interest in our wonderful system.
As Birmingham was the last organised market of the year, £400 remaining funds from the market fees were donated to Richard Parry and Mike Grimes of CRT; all of our traders use the canal system and many live and work on their boats. CRT is actively helping to facilitate trade on the canals.

And so as the summer season comes to an end the work begins on planning the next batch of markets.
Next years Markets are in the process of being organised. As soon as dates are confirmed we will update the website with booking details.
